I went to Birmingham-Southern and after graduation started my career in journalism at a weekly paper on Southside, The Paperman, which folded about a year later. I then went to the Alabama Journal in Montgomery where I covered police, education and City Hall with occasional forays into state politics. It was a time when newspapers were thick and actually perused in paper form by eager readers. I worked on the city desk for the morning paper, the Montgomery Advertiser, before going to the Anniston Star as features editor. Along the way I got married, worked as communications director at AmSouth Bank in Birmingham, and had a baby. I moved back to Montgomery where I've been since 1988. I presently work at the Business Council of Alabama and do freelance writing for various publications. My sons are grown, married and I'm waiting on grandchildren!

I studied Classical Languages at the University of Kansas, with excursions into psychology and religious studies. I rode my horse a lot while there, and learned backpacking and horsepacking. K.U. was a blast. I worked at the computer center there--little did I know how important that would be!
Would be fun to attend the Reunion, but it's a very small probability.I moved to Silicon Valley in 1978, partly because I figured if I were ever going to meet fellow NeoPagans, they'd be in California. I have since held several different job titles (software technician, programmer, tech writer mainly). I became very active in the Pagan community, and I remain so. I lead the Temple of Inanna and Dumuzi in Santa Clara. I married and had 2 kids, both now grown: Elana, who's married and lives in Washington; and Kala, who is living with me while attending college. I'm happily single again, and planning to stay that way. I'm busy all the time, and am mostly happy about that. I've been studying martial arts since 1995, and really enjoy it. I'm also studying social dancing and salsa rueda--both a lot of fun. I also do a lot of reading and writing, and I enjoy Kala's college classes--because she likes discussing the material! Went to Jax State for about a year then quit to work. Married my high school sweetheart, but it only lasted three years. We had a beautiful baby girl, Wendy. I joined the National Guard then moved to Colorado for my job and lost track of Wendy for 32 years. Stayed there for three years and married and divorced again. I moved back to Homewood and was so hurt I stayed alone for five years. I cried out to God, why do I hurt the people I love! I finally meet Patty, we married in 1985 and started to church and found what I was missing!We moved to Orlando and then had a chance to transfer with Amerigas to Hanceville in 2005 and have been reconnecting with my past.I found Wendy in 2009 after all those years. She lives in Calera. I know, right!!

Spent 10 years working on my undergraduate degree, majoring in Pizza Hut at UAB. Finally finished school at Kansas State in Manhattan, Ks.
Got my pilot's license at age 42 - health issues made it more difficult to stay active - but I still love to fly Work has been mostly in Accounting and consulting work, including a 23 year period where I owned my own business. 3 incredible children - Christi (nearly 30), Brian (25) and Heather (22) - 5 grandchildren ranging from 13 to 8 - Married for 14 years to the most incredible woman on the planet Golf, Music, Coaching Little League Baseball, Discipleship at my church Send Mike a Message

I graduated from college and started to work for a National independent adjusting company. I changed jobs and became an independent insurance agent for Johnson Rast & Hays until another large Independent adjusting came to me and made an offer that I couldn't refuse. I then moved to Atlanta for 10 years and then the company transferred me back to Birmingham. I then had another independent make me an offer and I took that job for more money and 5 years ago a smaller regional company came along and offered me a job and I have been with Eagle Adjusting Services since that time and we are now a national player competing with previous companies that I worked with.
I play quite a bit of client golf on some very nice courses and get to travel to some great locations for my job. I get to attend sporting events and shows with my company reimbursing me on these expenses.
I belong to a hunting club near Selma and spend most weekends in the Fall and Winter hunting and socializing with the other members. Send Greg a Message

I lived in Edgewood from 1961 - 1970, and had to move to Troy, Alabama where I graduated from a much smaller high school. It broke my heart to not graduate with my fellow Mounties, but I know so many of you from the fourth grade to the eleventh. I graduated from Auburn with a Forestry Degree and have worked with International Paper for 35 years mainly in the Mobile and Pensacola areas. I met my wife, Fran in church after a long church absence, married her and have lived in Spanish Fort since 1980. I am an elder in the Presbterian Church where I spend a lot of spare time. Our daughter and granddaughter (6) live with us, so we are going around again.

Summing up 40 years of life sounds so trite doesn't it? However, I appreciate knowing about your life so I will share some of my own.
1969 was a big year for me. First I graduated from Valley and then I met the love of my life that summer! After only 3 months Barnett Williams and I married and we celebrated our 40th anniversary on October the 11th. We had 2 daughters while living in New Orleans. We moved to Nashville while Barnett finished school at Vandy and I worked at HCA in insurance and finance. Then to our surprise our 3rd daughter was born in 1980 - the result of our excessive celebration after the 1979 SVHS Reunion! It was a very good year!
We lived in Japan during 1989 and had a marvelous experience there. I graduated from Belmont University in 1985 and got an MBA from Vanderbilt in 2001. I managed a manufacturing and distribution company for 18 years and left in 2006.
Barnett and I joined forces and have a small business that focuses on internet marketing, digital strategies and web development. Somewhere along the way I shortened my name from Mary Lynn to Maryn.
We have 3 beautiful daughters, 2 wonderful sons in law and four absolutely perfect grandchildren with one more due in January.
My parents moved to Nashville in 1995 so I rarely go back to Birmingham. I hope you will have another gathering that I am able to attend next year. C
I really enjoy sitting on the bank of a river and watching the world. (Barnett is a whitewater kayaker)We camp and enjoy nature. I like to travel and have seen some wonderful places but hope to see more in the future.
